WIDOWSWARM — Autonomous Swarming
A purpose-built swarm system that delivers persistent tactical operations, whilst maintaining OPSEC,
Engineered for contested environments and rapid field deployment.
WIDOWSWARM is a production-ready autonomous swarm ecosystem focused on tactical-first missions.
Designed for zero-line operators, it combines resilient mesh communications, edge computing, and flight-control hardware tuned for reliable autonomy.
WIDOWSWARM provides teams operating at the edge with force multiplication, enabling the deployment of a Launch And Forget system. This system coordinates kinetic platforms that discover, classify, target, and share actionable information.
WIDOWSWARM converts many cheap, replaceable drones into a single, resilient weapon, scaling capability non-linearly, surviving attrition, and creating tactical dilemmas for the adversary.
WIDOWSWARM is a Level-4 autonomous swarm designed to operate on the zero line in heavily contested electronic-warfare environments. It does not rely on GNSS or continuous telemetry: the operator uploads a mission profile for each drone, presses Launch, and the vehicles autonomously transit to their assigned Terrain Assignment Objectives (TAOs) to search for, detect and report targets while maintaining mission-level human oversight.
WIDOWSWARM delivers an economy of effect by leveraging many low-cost, attritable assets to produce mission outcomes that historically required expensive, single-platform systems.
Designed for the hardest environments, WIDOWSWARM is a Level-4 autonomous swarm that thrives on the zero line without GNSS or telemetry dependence.
Operators upload a mission per drone, hit Launch, and the swarm autonomously executes TAO search and target reporting with mission-level human oversight.
Capabilities
- Persistent ops at scale: coordinated multi-vehicle patrols and handover for sustained coverage.
- Robust communications: long-range, low-bandwidth coordination resilient to local RF degradation.
- Operator-in-the-loop control: mission-level autonomy with transparent operator overrides and mission editing in-UI.
- Fast deployment: Designed for use by inexperienced UAS operators on the frontline.
- Cognitive Load: Autonomy that reduces cognitive load on the operator whilst still achieving mission success.
- Sovereign & COTS-first: uses widely available, maintainable hardware for supply-chain resilience and field repairability.
Rather than relying on a single expensive asset to achieve an effect, WIDOWSWARM aggregates many inexpensive, purpose-built drones into a managed collective that multiplies operational reach and persistence.
The swarm’s resilience comes from redundancy: units are intentionally attritable and missions are designed to tolerate losses without mission collapse, tasks are redistributed automatically and priorities reprioritised in real time.
Because capability scales non-linearly, adding a small number of additional drones dramatically increases sensor coverage, reduces revisit latency, and extends the time the force can remain on station.
When employed tactically, the swarm’s distributed, simultaneous actions present multiple, concurrent problems for an adversary’s surveillance, EW and command decision loops, forcing degraded situational awareness and creating exploitable opportunities for commanders.
